I am a motivated fast worker who enjoys working on big and small projects in a variety of different mediums. I can work with a huge variety of tools including hand and workshop based tools. I am willing to do whatever job needs to be done in order to keep a project moving, as I understand the importance of every task, no matter how small it may seem. Im always willing to learn new skills and techniques. I work well within a team as well as independently and I love a challenge as it gives me a chance to expand and learn something new.

Experience

Rogue one

I worked in the moulding and casting prop costume department, dealing mostly with repeat casting, cleaning of pieces and occasional assembly.

Theme Traders

A prop-hire company based in north-west london, I have worked here as a freelancer since September 2013. I am on the books to go in as of when they need more workers for big builds, events or repairs.

London 2012 Olympic & Paralympic Ceremonies

Worked on the opening and closing ceremonies for the full duration London 2012 Olympic Games. I was part of the prop team helping to build, paint and manage the props for every ceremony. Creating the large boat, displayed in the olympics closing, for Annie Lennox was my biggest build, working in a small team doing finishes and texture in plastazote and idenden. Other work Included painting, sanding, pattern cutting, repairs and handling the props on stage during the live shows.

Last Days on Mars

Set built and filmed at Elstree Studios, I worked with a team moulding, casting and sanding components for the set, using fastcast and silicone moulds. Also helping with the design and construction of doors and cladded elements. Due to be released September 2013

Ask Me Tomorrow Productions

Fallout Laser rifle, along with other game based elements, commissioned by Thomas Oldman for a short film. I built this weapon, originally seen in the game Fallout 3, for the company and posted it to them up in manchester.

Killer Tease

This was a short trailer for Danny Hogans new book created by Garage Studios & Pulp Press books up in Brighton. I spent three days creating two prosthetic heads that could be used for a violent scene and get destroyed.

Oscar Nominated Head Over Heels

A short animation created at the National Film and Television School in Beaconsfield. I helped in the creation of small set elements e.g. eggs, fruit, books, cactus etc and other kitchen based components. The animation also won the CILECT Animation prize, the Annie Award for Student Film and won over 30 festival awards.

I also helped set dressing on a short film while I was up at the NFTS.

Brighton Body Casting

Helped with moulding and casting parts of the body while up there and cleaning and repairing plaster moulds. I helped with the casting of people for the exhibition “the great wall of vagina”, which was about showing the differences in peoples bodies. I am credited in the book that went along with the exhibition.

The Art of Chichester Festival Theatre: A Celebration

An exhibition designed by Pamela Howard for Pallant House. I was part of a team creating the set and prop elements for the exhibition, this included large decorative components and stands used to present the exhibitions pieces. My energy was focused in creating the creatures dotted around the space and managing a team to support the process of making them.

Skills

Sculpting, Casting and Moulding:

Experience with alginate, polystyrene carving, clay, plaster, resin, fiberglassing, vac-forming, latex, silicone, two-part expanding foam, fast-cast, sculpty, jesmonite and much more. I Have a wide understanding on glues and the application of them onto other materials.

Metal work and Carpentry:

I have great carpentry skills and some basic metal work skills, I can use tools to carve and shape wood. I can work from a image and measurements to build an object to the correct size. Have done welding and metal manipulation in the past and can still do basic metal work.

Painting, Scenic Art and Textures:

Can create effects such as wood, metal, marble, brick, rust etc. I have experience working on a large scale with texture making materials such as idendon. Can create realistic paint effects for props with a high level of finish and do a range of large and small scale intricate painting.

Fabric work and Costume:

Can sew and do costume creation from a pattern. I have a understanding and some training working on bodice. Can create prop costume crossovers, including puppet work and prop costume. Can knit to a advanced level, with understanding of crochet and pattern reading.

Computer skills:

Photoshop, Sketchbook Pro, Procreate, Google Sketchup, iMovie, Scratch and basic 3d printing.
